Superyacht Charities wants to ensure that worthy causes receive funding to help the growth of smaller non-government funded not-for-profit organisations.
We support charitable causes that do not receive any Government funding and that can prove to us that more than 90% of all funds they receive are spent on the cause they support.
• To achieve this SYC has launched a new initiative starting in 2022, enabling the superyacht industry to support a broader charitable need.
• This is known as ‘Cash4Causes’
• Rather than SYC selecting the charities and causes to support, we want you to apply to us so that we can use our funds to make a difference.
1. It MUST be for a good cause within our superyacht industry (i.e. charity/charitable purpose).
2. You must complete the attached form with as much information as possible to justify your application.
3. Superyacht Charities (SYC) Trustees will consider all applications on merit and respond to applicants within 4 weeks of the application date.
4. As part of the SYC decision-making process, we will reflect on the following criteria to assist in any awarding of funds. (This doesn’t preclude other applications however)
• The former in each criterion below tends towards "IN", the latter towards "OUT".
Does it benefit:
• The little guy rather than a massive concern?
• On a lasting basis rather than short term?
• Publicise our benevolent name rather than not?
